Smile coversion ? about ABS

I'm doing a ls1/t-56 swap into my 94 camaro 3.4/auto. When it comes to the brake system....can I keep the current ABS system or do I NEED to swap that as well? Any help is appreciated. Thanks alot guys!

Im not positive on this since its an older 4th gen...but most ABS systems are stand alone. They use wheel speed sensors and maybe the tach or TPS signal to figure things out. Your system shouldnt be affected just by swapping in the LS1/T56. Alteast I wouldnt think so.

Brakes are Brakes.. it has nothing to do with the Engine Combination. Keep the setup you have for the Brakes, like mentioned it's an Independent System, just like the Cruise Control. It has nothing to do at all with the Engine. The Traction Control System has a Sensor on the Rear Axle, but you won't have that being a V-6 Car.

the cruise does mess with the engine right? it has to know what speed to keep it at...

but yeah leave the brakes you have alone

Cruise Control is it's own module, all it needs is a Speed Signal, and it gets that from a Wire off of the Speedometer, which a Signal Wire from the VSS goes to.
In the LS1 cars, it's programmed in the PCM.
