The LS1 mini cooper lives!!!! added pics.

What a great day. Dummied up the wiring and fuel system and she started on the first try! Nothing melted, no fires, sounds great.

Now just gotta finish the interior sheetmetal, brakes, do real wiring and we're on the road!

Last time the car was together was 1700Lbs. with the old, iron V6 (alum LS1 should be about the same weight- the ride height didn't change at all) so the #'s from 1/4 mile calculators with a 400hp engine are just stupid- I don't think it will hook that well.

The car will be primarily a street car. Suspension is double A-Arm with coil overs in the front, and rear is a 4 link with watts linkage and coil overs in the back. So it should be "ok" at both autocross and at the digs.
