help with 5.3 swap into 91 silverado????
help with 5.3 swap into 91 silverado???? Can anyone give me any insight on what I'll be going up against. I know that I have to make custom motor mounts, rerun fuel system. My biggest question is will I be able to use my stock gauges still with the 5.3 harness and computer.

Re: help with 5.3 swap into 91 silverado???? Stock gages will work fine with this swap. Two things you'll need are 98 LS1 F-body coolant temp sensor (has built in gage sending unit), and a tach adapter (Dakota Digital) to get the tach reading right.
Gas gage stays the same, oil pressure hooks up to the 5.3 sending unit, and the speedo is driven from the 5.3 PCM.
