Default venting the fuel system?/ gas smell

Just wondering how the system is vented. I didn't use the EVAP system. I just ran a line from my tank to filter/reg then to the fuel rail. Return line back from reg to tank. I have no leaks but I can smell gas in the garage and under the engine when I am working under it. What do you guys think? Anyone see something similar?

what I did was cap off the EVAP line that goes to the top of the fuel pump hosing and one of the evap lines that comes off of the black arm.. then on the other connection i Just ran a rubber tube up along the filler neck and it just hangs up top.. I can smell gas when I fill up the tank..

What I'm going to do is just cap all vents on the tank itself and just drill a 1/8" hole into my filler cap.

Hey, it's a race car. lol

I do not have a LS1 tank. I have the 67 Camaro stock tank.
