engine paint, what is best?

engine paint, what is best? I know I can get chevy orange in a spray can, but I was hoping to use something that would give me a little more professional results. Any suggestions? Also, what are everyone's experience in painting the plastic intake manifold. I love to mkae the engine look like the whole thing has been dipped, but I fear that the panit may come off the manifold.
i painted my intake with automotive paint; poly-primer, then base, then clear. no problems with durability. they dont get that hot. I've had no problems with painting any part of the LS1, except the header paint.. wasnt even worth a try.
