Moving pins on PCM connectors
Haven't done this yet, was wondering if someone can clarify if special weatherpack tool is necessary ?
I have a truck harness that is going to be converted to Fbody pinouts for reflashed PCM, have to move a couple wires I believe.
TIA

Re: Moving pins on PCM connectors
It's not hard at all..
Remove the harness from the PCM.
Remove the white plastic guards that protect all the wires.
Cut the zip ties away.
Them remove the plastic red/blue sheilds that protect the pins. To do this you have to push the clips in on the sides and pull the plastic up. Be very careful as they are VERY fragile.
Then to remove a pin, pull the plastic tooth up just a little bit and lift the pin away from the other side of pins, and then push it through a little. It's a little hard to explain but once you try it I'm sure you can figure it out.
The pins and wires just push through a rubber sheild.
I removed probably 20 or so pins from my PCM setup.
