Default Fueling Questions for Carb LSX swap

Well since i already posted in the fueling dept and nobody responded, id figure id try here!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok heres the deal. Im swapping a 6.0 carbed into my 82 Z28.

It orginally came w/ Crossfire inj....then shortly after i swtiched to carb using a block pump. Well we all know Lsx dont have em...so

I was wondering if i could still use the intake pump(wire it to run when car is on) and use the stock lines, to a regulator to the engine?

Will this work or will i have to run a elec. pump inline?

Im trying to stay cost efficiant so thats why im wondering if i can use the stock intake....

Thanks!!

i put a carb'ed small block in a Volvo 262 a while back, using the stock in-tank and external electric fuel pumps the Volvo allready had. I just put a Holley blue regulator before the carb, AND a bypass line before that. I "tuned" the bypass with a holley carb jet. once i got the bypass and fuel pressure worked out it was great, no problems, and kept the carb fed under ALL conditions.

WEll im trying to save as much $$ as possible so i was still wondering if I could Use the the stock intake pump...then a regulator off the stock lines into the carb......b/c the stock intake pump was orginally made for FI which uses 2 times the pressure for carb set ups....Then regulate it into the carb!!

A card setup will need to run at around 7psi. That will probably be cutting the stock pump back too much. I don't know what that would do to the pump, if you could even cut the pressure back that much, but it can't be good for it.

Volvos are fuel injected, they run around 30 psi, run a bypass and a holley blue regulator and you'll be OK.
