make any sense? Want to transplant gen 4 ls/manual trans into first gen camaro.Found 05 ls2(out of vette,a t-56,bellhousing etc,all acessories (pulleys,ecm,etc) for $7500.00.but am looking to attain close to 600 rwhp.I am not hard on my equipment,but will trans hold up with street tires,also how much of this engine am i going to throw away to attain my 600 rwhp number? thanks,kevin
To get 600HP at the rear wheels without forced induction or spray you'll be pitching everything but the short block. For sure the heads, full valvetrain, intake, and throttle body. For a little added security, you'll probably want to plan on stronger clutch as well.
I'm not certain on the accessory brackets, although I'm pretty sure you'll have to convert most of it to the F-body style to fit. If you're planning on running an AC you'll either need to notch the frame, or build your own bracket.
