With a wrench 
I can`t remember for sure but I believe it is a standard thread (left to loosen). The easiest way is to use a strap wrench to hold the water pump pulley, but you can also leave the belt on put a wrench on the nut for the fan and wack the wrench with a piece of wood (2 foot long piece of 2x2 works really well
