Default Opinions on HP Tuners

Is it worth the buy in and recurring usage fees? Is there something comparable that's lap top based? Thanks.

Umm, you might want to research it a bit more on the tuning packages that are available. HPTuners is "laptop based" and there are no recurring fees unless you plan to add support for additional vehicles in the future. I own a copy of HPTuners and love it BTW.

Chris, Why do they issue credits? I thought I read on their forum site that every ECM re-programming costs 2 credits. After your initial allotment you have to purchase more. Mike

hp tuners does have credits. Once you tune your car once though, that car doesn't need anymore credits. The onyl reason you would need more credits is more cars. Ie you get another car, or you tune your buddies car. Once those are gone then you would need to buy more if you wanted to tune new cars, but you could go back and make changes to your car. Some cars take more credits to i thought, and i thought fbodies took 2 credits. They have all the info on there site.

The amount of options on HPTuners can be overwelming, but it is a great system. I like it a lot.

their product works well...

I can't say I'm totally happy with their customer service, even though my situation was not their fault
