99 dual fuel line with fuel regulator
Been trying to get my electronic cruise control to work for a few days. NC Rostra Stalk switch needs to be NO, and running through relay. Working with Rostra last night I made some progress, but it still isn't right. I'm tellin this to indicate that wiring is sbeing messed with...in the area of the cruise control, which hooks to the TAC module, etc.
Today, I went to take it for a drive at lunch. It went like this:
- BAcked out of garage
- Pulled into street and then the foot pedal would not work
- I 'idled' back into the driveway, and rewired the relay like it has been for the past couple weeks since getting the car running with the recently programmed PCM
- Car started, but still wouldn't respond on the pedal
( I had experienced this when I first got the car running, and had to spray elect contact cleaner on pins for connector to pedal, and it worked fine ever since) - So I pulled the plug on pedal, and replugged
- Now, it will not start; I can faintly smell gas; the gas pump pumps constantly instead of a few seconds and shut off
I have a 99 vintage fuel rail with a regulator built in. Could that be my problem...that it went bad? - I went and purchased an actron OBD II Meter. It says there is no communication. Checked it on my other car, and it connects and says "No Codes"
Sounds like the computer shot craps to me.
Hoping someone more knowledgable than I can offer some ideas.
Speartech wired the harness, and he knows his stuff, and comes well recommended.
I'm hoping to hear what they symptoms represent (i.e. gas pump continuing to pump).
