Just using the engine would not make it a CTS-V clone, there is more to the CTS-V, suspension, Brakes, etc.. This would be like taking a 4th Gen F-Body with a V6 and dropping in a Gen III/IV engine. You would most likely need most of the mounting parts, maybe the k-member, cooling system, fuel system updates, etc... it would be better to get the whole car as a donner if you really want to make a clone.. but just having the engine/trans would be a great upgrade.

I see that it has a reserved price.. which Includes engine, trans and accessories.. If this setup doesn't reach $6 or $7k, I would be supprised.

Keep us posted on your effort to do this, I know it has been posted before on doing this, but have not seen anyone really start it.

Oh, and swap part are at your local GM deal.. so no use asking for them, you should be able to get all of the part # from them too.

Keep track of the part number you need, would be good for a sticky for others.

SOunds like fun project but I would expect it would ruin the re-sale value of the car..

Probably much better off selling your car and buying a real CTS-V and have a warranty..
