There are a few after market ECU (or PCM). Quite a few people just run a stock GM unit. I don't know for sure but I think it costs less to have the stock one tuned than to purchase an aftermarket one.

An aftermarket ECU with the capabilities of the stock GM PCM would something like the FAST XFI, which is $1700. Tuning software/hardware for the stock PCM is about $600.

stock one works fine, you just need to find a local tuner (or send ecu out) to have it "prepared" for your car. (turn VATS off, emissions ****, etc)

i used the stock ecu and it was tuned on HP Tuners by a local buddy of mine.
