To clarify, I wasn't suggesting that anyone from this site was responsible, but it is possible that thieves are prowling forums for stuff of high interest on the off chance they can score.

One wouldn't post their safe combination, alarm code for their house, etc in public view, why would somebody think that a vehicle worth a serious chunk of change in parts alone would be any less interesting to those with no morals/ethics?

I doubt it since the build took place in Texas and Oklahoma, and it was stolen in Louisiana...

There were theft deterrent features on the truck that were installed and not even mentioned online anywhere in the build thread or anywhere else. Only people that knew of them was the owner and the builder. I agree, such a thing would be ludicrous to post up in a public forum. However, this was not the case here... If a thief wants something bad enough, they will probably get it.

I hope that thief gets horsef*cked by an angry old stallion, then gets his ***** bitten off by a badger and bleeds to death.

I'm a little confused. Does the OP own this truck, or was it sold to someone else who had it in Shreveport?

Kaleb is the owner. his SN is Killer71 on here. He saw my brothers build up of his 68 truck on another website and Kaleb asked Don (aka 68shortstep/ aka my brother) to build his 71 truck similarly. So the owner who lives in Louisiana sent his truck down to TX to my brother to do the build. Don moved back to OK during the build, and Kaleb came to OK to take delivery last saturday Oct 20th. He drove the truck back to LA and then his first time driving it to work the following friday Oct 26th it was stolen from his work parking lot.

Best way to try and find it is to start asking around for "parts" as if you have one, and not ask about the truck. Sooner or later, you'll find someone who knows something.

I found a motorcycle that was stolen from me this way.

Good luck.

I hope you get it back, and unmolested.
