Hey John, Looks good. I am in the process of doing the same on my 67. I have gathered tons 'o information, but wanted to ask you what problems did you encounter/advice you could give to the next person that would save headaches and time?

Thanks,
Jason

Do not be in a rush. Walk away when you get angry. Remember, we do this for fun! Get the Helms shop manuals and study the schematics. I personally would recommend getting the engine harness AND the mating Fuse Junction Box harness. I ditched most of the 67's engine compartment wiring. Used the new car's charging system and tapped in existing wiring (key, etc,) into the 2000's harness. This way all the factory wiring stays in place with relays, fuses, etc. Plus it gives you a ton more 12 volt circuits to use as you want. Mechanically, I went with BRP hotrods motor mounts. I fabbed the tranny mount from a TH400. I made the master cylinder clutch bracket. I suggest mocking this up in a vice using a heavy piece of steel to simulate the firewall. This will ensure you get the right stroke and alignment. Plus it is much easier than working underneath the dash. The driver side exhaust manifold is going to need to be trimmed and the bolt pattern redrilled to match the pass side in order to fit with the steering box. Mine is still very tight. Making my own headers is on the list for next winter. I made the VATS box myself. I like the security feature. Plus, I have not purchased LS1 edit yet. Car runs fine with no PCM hacking. I will be getting the EASE scanner next month to see what is going on inside the engine. Had the driveshaft balanced. This is still my biggest problem. I get an annoying driveline vibration at the u-joint on the T56. I have put shims in the rear so that the Pinion angle to driveshaft is equal and opposite to the front u-joint/T56 angle. Still vibrates at part throttle cruising. If I can fix this then this combo would be truly worth the effort.

Number 1 thing you should do is frequent this board for info. Good Luck.
