help with coil park. want to use dist.
FI is a totally different story and costly in my opinion.
Keep the EFI that was designed for the motor and get a harness made up for your car. It will look like a "factory" install if done right. Not very expensive and it will make the car more driveable and worth more in the end.
Take advantage of the modern tech, don't go back 30-40 years.

Hows this for lazy..... And I drve it to work!!!!

Big Bird ws6 build the car how ever you want to.
that was an awesome video. what cam are you running? anyway, i think the question was pretty vague to begin with. Big Bird WS6 asked how to make some coil packs work so i answered.
and FI was to costly for me. i wasnt so lucky as to get a complete drop out. all i got a hold of was a stripped long block with no front accessories. a stand alone FI harness cost more than the victor manifold and MSD ignition combined. i already have a mighty demon carb so that wasnt an additional cost.
im also using a t56 so im pretty sure gas guzzling issues wont be that bad.
OUT WITH THE OLD!

my ls1 has a MS3 cam and TSP ported LS6 heads.
i had to buy a conversion oil pan, motor mounts, cross member and hydraulics for the t56, and all sorts of other engine swap parts. i had to cut a cost some where or i would never be able to enjoy it.
also, are you running a preset timing curve or did you plot your own?
Bulky belt drive setup
I know I have seen some others around here.
I thought I saw one where the dist. was facing forward.
Looks kinda expensive, probably better off running the msd controller.

the valley cover i have on my engine is from wegner motorsports. they are the company that made the front dist. drive for gm and also a bunch of other LSx and cup car engine parts.

wegner makes valve covers, water pumps, front drive dist, accessory drives, valley covers, and a stand alone ignition to run the coil packs. but it is costly. the online store isnt loading at the moment, but check them out.
the MSD box allows you to plot your own timing curve via a lap top. the software has a digital dashboard that will show you engine rpm and timing. pretty sweet for $312 plus its just a few wires to hook it up.
and lastly!
the front dist. drive is around $450, its requires you to drill and pin your crank. you also have to buy a crank extension, and run an ATI balancer. trust me, major pain in the ***. the front dist drive will set you back well past $1200 and then some. just get some coil packs from a user on here for around $100, buy the MSD, victor jr intake, and dont look back.
