Quick Temp sensor question
here's the deal. my motor is a 00 with a 98 ecu and harness on it. the temp sensor got smashed so needs replacing. however the 98 temp sensor is a bitch to find in stock as well as the plug for it. i can source out the parts but im curious to know if i can swap to a more common and cheaper 99 temp sensor without changing ecu's or anything like that. all im wanting to do is have the ecu able to read what temp the motor is at so it can do its thing. i dont need any read outs to a guage or anything since i already have one tapped and wired on the pass head.
The green wire was only for the gauge in the 98 cluster, so if you don't need that, switching to the 99-up sensor will work perfect.
