Default What Wiring Harness do you have?

I hope this isn't a repost. I thought it would be cool for people to talk about what aftermarket harness they have and if they like it. I think this could help out people who are looking for an aftermarket harness.

I have a TPIS street rod harness for my ls1/t56 87 Trans Am. Pretty good quality. They offer to extend the fan leads for no extra charge!

What about you guys?

Painless 5.3 harness

Got it for free...thank god, because I would not pay $800 that they want for it.

Nice harness, but I had to remove all the egr/AIR crap, and add a wire for electric fan control. I also had to put the LS1 style injector pigtails on it, as I am using an LS6 intake.

If I were to do it all over again, John at speartech would be my first call!

Just get a stock harness off ebay and re-work it. They are easy to modify.

Stock f-body harness that was reworked by Speartech. I would go the same route if I had to do it again.

Stock F-Body that was reworked, removed anything that I didn't require. Unwrapped it and rearrranged all connections and wires as needed.

They built it from scratch and everything was nicely labeled. They also included almost all sensors and relays needed.

Speartech, reworked my f-body harness and computer. I'm not at all comfortable with the electrical side of the swap. I dreaded it more than pulling the motor 5 times for mock up but Speartech made it so easy. I really admire you guys who rework your own harness and reprogram the computers. I made up the relays for the fans I coulnd't believe I was easy it was.

Stock that we removed the unneeded and separated. Like said above modding these harnesses is very easy.

Speartech made mine from scratch, with lengths exactly as I requested. Came with a 4 fuse block and relay for the fuel pump. Everything was labled perfectly, and put in new wire loom. Every connector and wire was labled, plus it came with a picture/diagram. It's a masterpiece! John was also on the spot whenever I had questions and even responded to an email on a Sunday afternoon. Best service and support I have ever had with an automotive product. He also reprogrammed my computer to remove Vats, take out the things I did not need, set my fan control temps, tach and speedo. My motor had been sitting for 4+ years. It fired and ran on the first crank and has been running perfect ever since.

Very happy customer here.

I used the expensive GM Performance harness and matching '98 F body computer. It was truely plug & play but my son needed to tweak the tune slightly to get the trans shifting nicely. My engine was on the stand for a long time as well, it fired "first piston up" and has been running perfectly in spite of being thrashed at the drag strip, run for hours on end through the desert for two summers and being caught more than once in our legendary SoCal traffic nightmares.

I like using the Current Performance Harnesses. They are totally customized for whatever we need. Fans, no fans, A/C, comes with a nice fuse/relay center with covers. Also have used there S-10 harness for a conversion once and it was completely plug and play. Only thing I think we had to splice was the wires powering the fans. They have always been great.
