Transmission help! silverado conversion.
Transmission help! silverado conversion. So I need help on my trans setup. to fit an LS1 conversion. I have a 92 chevy 4x4. Does anybody know what would work and what would work best.

Ive also got a 4l60E out of a 94 caprice LT1.
from what ive found i need to get a 1996+ 4l60E and get a different flexplate. And a t56 will be expesive and alot of work to get to work

You would want a 4l60e from a LSx equipped vehicle. That would be 1999+, silverado pickup, tahoe..(I think there should be more vehicles in here , but I know that they will all be 1999 or newer).etc with a 4.8L or 5.3L. You could also run a 4l80e from a 99+ 6.0L equipped truck, but the 80e`s can be pricey.
