Lightbulb Which headers and cat back for fox ls1????

I don't want to install long tube because of clearance I am thinking in short or mid tube and which cat back should I buy that give me nice sound and not loud? Install x pipe or h pipe?

if you are not going to go longtubes then MAC mids are the best besides the stock 6.0 truck manifolds..

if you ask me ( well, you already did ) long tubes are not that bad when it comes to ground clearance. most likely the transmission oil pan will be lower that the bottom of the headers in your case.

Just test fit a set of MAC mid-lengths on my brothers 91lx. No f-ing way will those things work. Steering shaft wants to go right through the middle of the drivers side. Need to move like 3 tubes. Most were using 351W swap headers with LS1 flanges. Seems like the KOOKS are the way to go though.

"LS1SS4EVER"

i got your email but every time i try to respond it keeps coming back "unable to send".

i looked at many "catbacks" and there is nothing that will just bolt up. you will have to have some sort of fab work to join whatever headers you use - KOOKS is the way to go, but im biased

If you use a set of mid or longtube mustang headers and adapt them to a set of ls1 flanges from ebay then you can use all of the aftermarket hpipes/xpipes and catbacks that are out there for the mustangs and you don't have to worry about it..

I second the above..take a look at these shorties for a fox I used in my 67 pickup. I spent Under $150 to make them. Flanges are avaliable from GMPP at any gm dealership. I think they were $22 each.

stock hpipes/xpipes for the fox body will be close, but after cutting off stock flange and welding up ls1 flanges i'm sure things will move a little and factory fox stuff might not bolt back up, but should be pretty close.
