Default Interesting Idea

I don't know if it's already been done but, how about a LS1 powered mid to late 90's BMW 3 Series. Looking at my friends 95 325i it got me thinking. The I6 in it isn't exactly small or light. What do you guys think? I might have to start shopping around for a high mileage 3 series.

Do it. I am sticking an LS1 in a mid 80's (e30) 3 series. I think on the mid 90's (e36), you might be able to get away with the F-Body oil pan. Mine required a front drop pan, so I opted for a dry sump

The e36 has better aeros, can easily be converted to M3 styling, and is already 5 lug and you can use M3 brakes. I say do it.

Yeah I think I'm going to do it. Do you think the 325I rear end can handle the LS1? I don't really have all that much knowledge regarding Beamers. Could you point me in the direction of some good E36 performance sites? Any info would be much appreciated.

Thanks
James
