Default 84 S10 conversion

I'm thinking of putting a 6.0L truck motor into an 84 S10. I have all of the big
parts, but I wanted to get a heads up on the conversion roadbumps.

Does anyone know how low the truck oil pan will be?
How many inches below the k-member?
How many inches need to be trimmed from the back of the k-member?

The truck is low, I might need to go with a f-body oil pan.
How many inches below the k-member will the pan be?
How many inches need to be trimmed from the back of the k-member?

when I look at doing this I was going to have to run an F-body pan because of ground clearence my S10 is full drop and I was going to have to remove the bulk of the crossmember I was acually thinking of making my own boxed X-member and running a manual rack but decided to put it in a third gen camaro instead

im doing the swap now in my '91. The truck pan sits about 1" (if that) below the crossmember, not critical for me because i dont run a low truck. I cut a 2"x 10" section out of the cross member and its was overkill.

check out the s10ls1ers thread. lots of good info if you have the time to read it. Here is my build thread.https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-swaps/789504-1st-gen-s10-5-3-th350.html
