Somewhere between $1000 and $25000, not including the motor, depending on how much you can fab yourself vs how much stuff you have to buy, and how much optional stuff (suspension, steering, rear end, interior, etc) you do while it's apart. And it'll take you on average somewhere between 3 weeks and 2 years to get it driveable again.

Dude, this is a gotcha question. Some of us get a motor and trans for $2K, some for $12K, some pay for wiring, some don't, will your cooling system work out, or do you have to buy new, what about fuel? That problem alone can range from a few hundred dollars to several thousand. There is no hard and fast answers on budget, but I honestly think you will have a hard time doing a nice install under $12K if it is your first one, and you have to buy solutions. If you are a great welder/fabricator, you can save a ton of cash, though you will have a hard time if you insult people on here. We are a touchy bunch...

If you want a detailed cost analysis of our swap into a 67 Camaro, you can download our spreadsheet at: http://hosted.filefront.com/67rsss While this isn't exactly everything for your swap, it is a pretty realistic cost analysis of a mid level swap (this is not exactly a Bad Penny type swap).

The BOP settup may involve a little fab work on your part. I recall seeing a few threads about the difference between the SBC and BOP motor mounts. I think Carshop or BRP had a solution though...
