Smelling fuel????
My hybrid is stinking up the garage of fuel. I have NO leaks! I have my stock 67 Camaro tank. Inline walbro pump, vette fuel filter/reg combo, russell pre pump filter. That all works fine. Engine runs good. It is a 2000 LS1. I have disconnected the EVAP wiring. I have done nothing to the EVAP solenoid piping. Without any wiring it can not open correct? I can smell gas around the inlet to the fuel rail. Is it venting in this area, EVAP? Please help!!
Mines the same way, i could swear i smell fuel sometimes around that area but ive never seen a fuel leak....somehow the vapor gets out???? im not sure...but i have my evap stuff eliminated as well..
Hey !EVAP guys, how hard is it to fill the tank? ANd how did you plug up the tank?

That's a pic of my tank and vent tube and EVAP plugs. I NEVER have fuel fumes/smell/leaks now.
67ls1CamaroProject, I assume you only have a fuel feed line going to the engine, no fuel return or vac line. Did you plug up that evap line that goes into the intake? If you are smelling fuel around the fuel line to fuel rail conneciton, I'd double check that connection.
Perhaps your tank is building pressure and has no way to exhaust the fumes so its pushing a pinch of fuel out through that quick disconnection plug?

Only the single feed. My return is back at the filter/reg combo near the tank. I will check the EVAP. As far as I know, I just removed the wiring plug. It is still plumbed into the intake but the other end is probably open.
