safety neutral switch wiring question
My cutlass safety neutral switch is part of my column shifter and is connected between the ign & starter sol. As I understand it the PCM orange and black wire has to grounded via a safety neutral switch. I know I can use my current switch by using it as a ground circuit to the pcm PNP. But if I do that then my back up lights want work.
Question can I ground the pnp wire from the PCM to the chassis? Then run the purple "C102 connector wire thru my current safety switch then to the starter or will this cause issues with the PCM? Or can I leave the starter function circuit out of the PCM altogether?
More thanking here. I guess if the answer above is NO then I could reverse wire my back up lights by using the switch as ground and running a new hot wire to them.
