Default wiring my kill switch?

I have my wiring done and for our racing we need a master kill in cab and in rear of truck.I have both hooked up and they work but I think evrytime I shut off my truck it resets the ecu because it runs bad when its cold and I start it ,it runs crappy for a little but cleans up and seems to run fine till I shut it off and restart it warm it just runs horrible.Is there a memory wire on the ecu that I can run power to? the motor is an 04 gto ls1 all stock just had the harness thined and ecu flashed

You need B+ power to Connector C1, pins #20 and #57, that should keep everything in memory.

Sorry to bring up an oooolllld thread...but can anyone confirm that this is correct? I am running a kill switch and want to retain ecu memory as well. I also am using the 04 GTO LS1 for my swap.

Should be the same for all 99+ GEN III engines. They're the only orange wires in the PCM connectors

this may sound stupid....but the 12volt reference wires don't need to be constant hot?

No, 12v ref for the cam and crank sensors are sent from the PCM to the sensors much like the 5v refs of the MAP, TPS, EGR etc. External 12v input to them will cause problems

Only the pins labeled battery 12v or 12v constant require 12v constant. You need one other input on B19 for the IGN (keyed 12v) but should be killed via switch for this application
