Default 99-02 Harness Connector Identification

I'm modding a 99 harness for a friend and can't remember what a couple of connectors are. I noticed that this section gets a lot of questions, so I figured I'd start this thread and we can all populate the list and sticky it for future use. BTW, the connectors marked "(Connector CXXX)" are the ones that you'll use to hook up to your chassis for your speedometer, tach, reverse lights, ignition, etc.

1. Rear O2 (Passenger)

3: VSS / Speedometer
4: Reverse lockout solenoid
6: CAGS solenoid (Skip shift)

How many pins is #42? I may be able to fill in a few more gaps tonight. I just pulled a 2002 T56 harness over the weekend and labeled most of the connectors.

In a related question, I'm currently looking to find the other side of the connector for numbers 43-46. I would like to make the harness a simple plug-in into the swapped chassis and want to do it right, not hacking the other connector end out of the donor harness. Does anyone know specifically what these connector types are called and where to find them?

Thanks, I updated my post. I'll have to check this evening to see the wire colors for #42. I believe it is the crank angle sensor, but didn't want to put any data in that I wasn't 100% sure about.

I believe #26 is the oil pressure sensor and #22 is MAP. The cam angle sensor is also #27 or #28, but I'm not positive.

When I did my first harness I looked around for the other half of 36-37 and 43-46, but couldn't find anything. I ended up removing what I didn't need and used Delphi Weatherpack connectors to tie needed ones into the chassis.

#17 - EVAP
#22 - EGR
#26 - Oil Pressure
#27 - Cam Sensor
#28 - Map Sensor

#40 or #42 are the oil level and crank sensor (I can't see them well enough to know which is which)

#34 is the 99-00 egr? thing that mounts on the passenger side head.
#40 is the crank sensor
#42 is the low oil level sensor

They are the same wire. One end goes to the starter, the other end went to your key switch. It has a disconect on one end so you can remove the harness from the vehicle without tracking that purple wire all the way to the fbody fuse panel.

Also, #34 isn't the air pump, its the egr solenoid thingy that mounts to the passenger side head on the 98-00 model engines.

In the spirit of completeness, does anyone know the differences for the 4L60e harness? I'm assuming the vast majority is shared, although there will be a few small differences.

The auto harness is pretty easy to spot because it has a big fat tranny connector on it. I don't have any pics of one though since I've never really messed with slushboxes.

BTW, could one of the well informed perhaps circle the connectors not typically used and the ones that are optional (like AC). Or circle the ones you need, if that's easier.

If you aren't concerned with emissons testing you can remove the following connectors. You will need to tune these features out of your PCM however.

1. Rear O2 (Passenger)
5. Rear O2 (Drivers)
6. CAGS
7. Unneeded ground strap
9. Unneeded ground strap
17. EVAP
26. Oil Pressure (not read by the stock PCM, just goes to the gauges)
34. EGR (only included on 99-00 harnesses)
42. Oil Level Sensor (not read by the stock PCM, just goes to the gauges)

Also most of the wires in the "F-body Specific Connectors" will not be needed.

I have a spare automatic harness, but due to the fact that I am working 6 nights a week, 12 hours a night, I don't really feel like dragging it out to take pic's. Maybe someone else will have one they can post pic's of.
