Default Throttle Body Questions

I am putting this Engine & Transmission from a 2004 GTO into a 240SX and have a couple questions about the Trottle body.

1. Is this port under the throttle body for a coolant bleeder?

This Hose hooks to a metal pipe that branches off to both heads.

2. Is this some sort of PCV Part? Do I need this? What does the other end hook to?

This must be the day for these sorts of questions https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-swaps/883455-everybody-s-favorite-game-wtf-crap.html

1. That is the hose from the coolant air pipe; stock it goes through the throttle body and then to the upper radiator hose, most people bypass the throttle body.

2. This is the EVAP solenoid - that hose needs to be hooked up or plugged, depending on if you are running the EVAP system.

3. This is hooked up correctly

4. That is where the line to the brake booster goes.

Thanks! On that throttle body bypass...How should I go about doing that? Are there adverse affects of doing this? Someone told me about it but I am not sure wherr to hook it to. There are not any open ports?

Thanks for the help

1. Is this port under the throttle body for a coolant bleeder?
No, that is part of the steam line. The coolant steam line runs through the base of the TB and then to the radiator (though a lot of people plumb it to the water pump)

This Hose hooks to a metal pipe that branches off to both heads.

This is part of the steam line setup. Needs to be there!

2. Is this some sort of PCV Part? Do I need this? What does the other end hook to?

This is part of the EVAP system. You can remove the solenoid and tube and cap off the nipple.

3. I assume these are hooked up correctly

Looks like you have the PVC hooked up correctly.

4. This nipple off the back of the intake...should this be hooked to the brake booster?
That is an open vacuum source. It is meant for the brake booster. Cap off any vacuum ports you are not using.

Bypassing really depends on the conditions you plan on running the car. If you will never run the car in cold weather, you can just remove the hoses to the throttle body, and then run the steam tube line (the one that goes to both heads) out to the rad, or drill and tap the water pump. There is a LOT of material about doing this on this site...

1. This is for emission to heat up the Throttle body quicker and help with the emissions. Help in colder climates.

Many people will bypass the Throttle Body by running the hose directly from the steam port to the radaitor or T-Hose. By doing this it would keep the Throttle Body and air charge cooler.

2. don't really needed it unless your trying to pass the smog test.. many conversion will use a small Charcoal canister to vent the Fuel tank. just plug or use the port as a vacuum source.

3. Yes.. fresh air port for the Throttle body and LS6 style PCV System. some will add a Catch Can inline of the PCV line.

4. Yes.. large one is Brake Booster small on the other side is for a vacuum source.. usually running inside to the AC/Heater controls. That is the MAP on top.
