Where to mount my computer....Help!

Where to mount my computer....Help! I am doing the LS6/T56 conversion in my 69 Camaro and am having a very difficult time trying to find a suitable location for the ECM. I also have the Vintage Air AC system, so that takes up quite a bit of room behind my firewall. Any ideas? Suggestions?

Re: Where to mount my computer....Help! I mounted mine right on the inner fender on the passenger side. I too have a vintage air system. Fits there no problems. Here is a picture, not a very good one, but.....

However, this engine bay will be show quality considering the polished pulleys, custom powdercoated subframe, smoothed firewall, etc....so there is no way I'm going to mount that ugly PCM with 90 wires in the bay! I'm looking for a spot "inside" the car.

Re: Where to mount my computer....Help! We've done custom harnesses that have put the PCM under the front seat, under the back seat, and in the trunk. So all in all there is some real estate to choose from!

Re: Where to mount my computer....Help! Are you using the factory harness or a custom harness? With the factory harness you don't have much of a choice. I had Speartech make my harness and I put it up front inside the fender just behind the headlight on the passenger side. Most people don't even notice it. I wanted to put it under my dash but I would have had to cut a huge hole in the firewall to get the harness through.
If your looking into a custom harness I would highly recommened Speartech. He did a great job on mine and was great at answering the many questions I had. John
