If you don't plan on going radical or super powerful on the engine, a Holley red would work fine. 7PSI constant and no need for a regulator because it is internally regulated at the pump.
As for carb, I would think 800 or 850 if you have a mild cam in it. Also, some kind of automatic fan control so you don't forget about the fans til you have barfed a head or gasket.

I would probably do a cam since I was in there, mid-sized. Maybe like 22x/23x.
I put a mechanical fan back on the Merc and took my slim Spal fan up front as a backup pusher. The spal fan is using a temp sensor to turn it on.
Does this make sense... Okay so my car basically has a '77 Caprice frame, SBC, long tubes, TH350.
Holley motor mounts, put the LS engine back an inch or so to be in same spot as SBC to hook up to the trans. Whichever accessory brackets give me maximum room up front so I can fit in a decent set of dual electric fans. Which brackets would you use? When would you have the fans coming on, 180F?
