what do I do with the coolant pipe that exits the throttlebody?

Since you ask, maybe you want to keep those hoses!... Go and see in the FAQ on top of the Conversions and Hybrids page, there is some discussion in there on how to route these hoses (and others!). Very interesting, it seems the coolant flow and hose routing is quite important on these engines and different from old school small blocks.
And yes, there is a lot of FAQ, it will take some time to find the right post!
How Rodder answered to me to this question a few months ago:
"The steam hose from the heads has to enter the rad "below" the cap, right?
According to the book "yes", but many people T it into the heater return host or tap the top of the water pump and run it there. Some people cap it off completely, but I don't like that. I'm running mine to the top of the water pump."
