5.3 Vacuum port required
Well, I know I have seen it posted here before, but now when I need it I sure can't find it. What I am after, is a Vacuum port to put into the back of the intake on my 5.3. I assume that it must be where the stock vac line would run to the brake booster, as all I have in there right now is a hole. Does anyone have the GM part number for a plug to go in there to run a vac line off? Let me know if you do, thanks!

Here is the real answer..this kept popping up when I was searching for the answer to this so here is that answer to close the thread:
ACDelco 12559760
"GM Original Equipment Power Brake Booster Vacuum Hose Connector"
$7.50 with free shipping on Amazon.com. Also not too expensive at the dealership..maybe ~$12 if I recall correctly.

Novak also has a really nice metal version that makes this a 3/8 inch vac hose connection. $20 but it plugs right in. I am ordering one of these as well.

That's a way to go also. I hope you don't break it off again because this time it wont break the brass but the intake itself. The nylon it's made of is pretty strong though.
I like the fact that it's a quick-connect kinda fitting so when I go to hydroboost I can just pull the nipple out and pop the factory plug back in with about 5 seconds of effort. Also, FYI to all, it is the same fitting on the 2000-ish intake I had on my LM7 and the 2010-ish intake that I put it into. Could have just swapped it over. Doh.
