Ls1 Fc Rx7 hey guys! new to the sight and just wanted to say wats up. i am currently in the process of swapping a 99 ls1/t-56 into my 87 rx7 t2. im sure you guys know much more than i do and im sure im going to need to pick someones brain thats done this before. first, anyone have trouble getting the obd2 connector to communicate with the scanner? i know its simple, orange canstant power, purple is the serial data wire and the black with a white stripe goes to block ground and the solid black goes to chassis ground(not that it matters i dont think

) any help would be greatly appreciated! thank guys!!! thats it, are you sure you have the orange to 12v constant? maybe its hooked up to a 12v switched on source.
As for the grounds, i just twisted the two blacks together and grounded it at a single location.
Mine works flawlessly.

i checked the 12v constant and grounds already and as far as the codes go. i cant get the thing running for more than three seconds due to vats i believe? it starts, runs fine for 3-5 secs. and totally dies. i have 60-65 psi of fuel pressure the whole time. as its dying and i try to rev it, it just falls on its face and the motor stalls. losing injector pulse due to vats correct? if not i have to do more diag...ahhhhh! thanks and any help is greatly appreciated!

thanks fadedfd. i got an answer right away on the p/s question. and for the obd2 connector i got it to communicate. the prob was i had the wrong wire from the obd2 connector spliced into c230. i assumed because the wire was purple that it went to purple,NO! i found out it goes to c230 pin"k" green wire and i made the correction and it worked fine! now tomorrow ill shut the vats off with efilive and see if it runs for more than 3-5 secs. thganks for the help guys!
