Plate between T56 and bellhousing?

Question Plate between T56 and bellhousing?
This is probably a stupid question so I apologize in advance. I am trying to shoehorn an LS1 into a '99 Miata - I have my T56 bolted up to the bellhousing, and there is at least one spot where I can see the flywheel. Is there a plate or plates that I need to close these gaps? I know that the auto trans have flexplates, but what does the T56 need?

A starter motor on the RH side, and a little plastic plate on the LH

There are little plastic covers on both sides.

Great - that's exactly what I was looking for. Now, anyone know where to buy some of these plastic covers? I did not see them on gmpartsdirect, and I assume that parts stores won't have them....ebay?

Have you tried a local dealer? at least get a part # from them it there price is to high.

The Part Numbers are LH - 12558718, RH - 12561536

Those plastic panels attach to the stock oil pan... anyone seen something that attaches to the bellhousing and works with an aftermarket pan?

Get some thin sheet metal and some tin snips. Make a cardboard template then cut the sheet metal out. Use the two bolts on the bottom of the bellhousing to hold it in place.
