SN95 to ls1 swap how much??
Ballpark figures please!! Donor car is 95gt auto. I want to do a ls1 conversion all motor H/C/I. What are the real world changes and $$ i need to make, engine harness, subframe, exhaust, gauges, fuel system, whatever comes to mind. I want to stay fuel injected with a 6 speed if that's possible. Just a thought i'm playing with, i love the way these cars look and love that ls1 power and reliability. Please keep it as simple as possible. Thanks for your comments!!

$10k at minimum if you do it the right way.
$1200 for AJE subframe, trans xmember, a-arms, coilovers.
$200 for front shocks, assume you will want new.
$900 in guages, full autometer indash setup
$3500 for stock swap
$2500 for head/cam package
$400 for flaming river steering shaft
$750 for Kooks headers made for this swap
$450 to have stock harness reworked
$125 walbro 255 pump
$??? injectors
$??? engine management
$??? for a clutch master cylinder and line for the t56 (sn95's are cable driven clutches.)
Lots of misc parts, hoses, fittings, wiring blah blah.
Probly missed some stuff, just a quick rough estimate.

I gave 600 for 6.0, and Im giving 300 a 5.3, so swaps can be done cheaper, depends what you want to do. I have an sn96cyl car for a grand.... deals are out there on used parts, look

re-work your own harness and save $450.
You can find a 5.3L engine and 4l60 trans for $1500-2000 + shipping. I found a LQ4 + 4l80E for $2780 shipped.
You dont need new A-arms with the k-member (saves you $300)
You can use factory springs with the AJE k-member (saves you another $250 for coil overs).
You can use a GTO or truck cluster for gauges ($100-200 on ebay)
For heads and cam find an Lq9 engine, put LS6 heads on it and your at 10.9:1 compression with good flow. Add a good cam and your in good shape.

depends on how crazy you want to get.........
if you use the stock 4.6 kmember, there is a bunch of money you can save right there....even if not, there is a bunch of kmembers that are cheaper than the aje one......
you could use manifolds or mod some 351w swap headers and save a bunch right there too....
i think 3500 is pretty high for a swap myself too.....depends on how much power you want i think and if you want an aluminum block or not....
i defenitly would suggest not buying a aftermarket harness......really easy to mod the factory one.....
bunches of places to save money, just have to do some research and plan carefully....
