Cooling fan won't come on
Cooling fan won't come on Hi,
I need some help.
I have a 2000 cavalier fuse box running my 5.3 harness and it has the stock relays controlling the fuel pump and cooling fan.I have the wire coming off the fuse box cooling fan relay going to the positive terminal on the cooling fan and I have the fan negative going to ground.The car is running at 230 and the fan won't come on.How do I test the circuit to find what is wrong?
If I put power to the wire coming off the fuse box relay the fan starts so I know the fan works.

The engine and computer are from 2004.When I sent the computer out I asked for the fan to be programmed.The tuner did not say that he didn't put the fan in the tune so I am ussuming that it is in the program.

Not all 2004 trucks came with electric fans, some did actually come with mechanical fans. I dont have a 2004 schematic on hand, so I can't tell you what pin to look at. Cruise over to Performancetrucks.net and see if they have a schematic.
