Default More progress!!!!

Was able to pick up the chassis from the powder coater today, hopefully I will have it back rolling by the end of the weekend. Here is a few shots plus one teaser pic of what the rolling stock will be.

Did not get too much accomplished today, but I did mock the wheels up on a customers truck to see how much I need to narrow the rear. I have about a inch and a half from the looks of his truck. Tomorrow I will put the chassis back on the lift and set the bed on without the rear in the truck. I should be able to get a good measurement from that.

Default It rolls!!!

Was able to get the truck suspended again this weekend. At least now I can roll it in and out of the shop by myself and not need two people to carry it. Check out those custom coils in the front! Before I set the rear in I measured how much I need to have the rear narrowed to make the fender lip sit over the tire. I picked up a 8.5" disc brake rear out of a ZR2 pick-up.

Default Hurricane Hanna house cleaning

There is a chance that we may get hit by Hurricane Hanna, so i cleaned up the shop to make room for stuff that normally stays outside. To clear up the floor I set the parts back on the truck. I can't wait for it to be done!!!

It is 1.75" per side shorter than the stock 7.5" rear. So far the truck has run 11.93@111-112, don't exactly remember the mph, I will have to get the slip out of the truck.
