Vintage Air?
Has anyone here used a Vintage Air system in thier 69 Camaro/LS1 swap? If so, what brackets were needed?
Also does anyone know the price of the BRP power front rack and pinion kit? And, other than the 80 lb. weight loss, is it really worth doing b/c I read on the forum that you don't have to get you oil pan notched...is that true? Thanks.

Re: Vintage Air?
I have the EXACT setup you are referring to and I used a custom powdercoated mounting bracket from Detroit Speed. (www.detroitspeed.com) It is a work of art and VERY easy to mount my compac II system. Call them and ask for Kyle.
Good luck!

Re: Vintage Air?
Doug,
I just read your post again...a little slower this time...and you really weren't clear on which brackets you were referring to. If you were talking about the bracket that holds the actual Vintage air unit "inside" the cab...then I steered you in the right direction. If you were looking for brackets to mount a Sanden style compressor to the LS1...then Detroit Speed "probably" has something...but if not, I went with the entire pulley system of Street & Performance. www.hotrodlane.cc Here is a link to my project. The pictures are a bit behind...but you will get the idea.
