Ls1 in third gen camaro

Ls1 in third gen camaro I have a 1988 Iroc-z Camaro it has a 355 in it now. I have a LS1 and was thing about putting it in my car what all would I have to do to make it fit and have ac?? I would also want to keep the 700r4 transmission too. Any advice would be appreciated.

Man, you better have a BUILT 700r4. Those things aren't rated to handle 300hp. I'm the FNG here, but I just got out of third gens...love my Z, but I sure miss my

Nice! Is there a particular reason to keep the 700r4, or do you just not want to spend the money on a 4l60e? I recently made the 3rd to 4th gen move, and I'm STILL not quite used to the way the 4l60e shifts
