Thats just it you don't have to tune a efi car it does it for you. Just try and say it. "I don't need my screw driver anymore". Again "I don't need my screw driver anymore". One more time "I don't need my screw driver anymore"

So if you changed your cam It would "tune it for you"? You know with the stock tune thats programed into it from the factory? LOL! You dont need a screwdriver, you need a laptop and $700 worth of tuning software. And not to mention learning how to tune. Carbs have more than proven themselves throughout record holding history.

You have no damn idea what you are talking about. Most people who do an ls1 swap are looking for performance wich means performance parts which means YOU HAVE TO TUNE IT. The factory computer makes minor adjustments for weather conditions it won't do **** for a performance change. If I wanted an ls powered car just to have one I would just buy a damn silverado lol.

nah, i had a msd 6al spark box.

if i need a efi fix, i just drive my 490rw ss that gets 25mpg with ice cold a/c, a screen, and some bump in da trunk
or my sierra.

driving around in the carb. car gives me the feeling of a real musclecar.
ive got manual steering, no ac, manual windows.
i carry a summit box-o-jets and some power valves.

aint that the truth. its always a bad tune, missed shift, wrong tires, traction control was on, low psi,low psi pulley, clutch slipping, etc. etc.

Everything except "damn, i got my *** handed to me because I'm a suckass driver" or "damn, I spend X,XXX on parts I know nothing about and my car is still slow as ****"

I just registered for the site and I doing a LS1 swap into my 86 mustang and I think a carb only forum would be a huge help!

Rockytopper is prolly just doesn't like carb guys because they make fun of his pink paintjob or his mid 80's iroc wheels. If your junk ever has an issue with a carb it is fixable with basic hand tools. When an injected car ***** the bed the pansy FI guys call AAA. Prolly when they get a flat tire too. LOL

Rockytopper sorry for the flame but you had to expect it when you stir the pot like that!
