98 ls1 computer compatible with 98 trans and 01 ls1? im asking this for a friend
he asks,
is the 98 ls1 computer (i think from an f-body) compatible with the 01 ls1 service engine and 98 4l60e?
he says he is getting no spark coming out of the coils, yet he has continuity there..?

Yes but no. If he is using a 98 computer and wiring harness with 98 sensors to control a 98 trans and 01 LS1 then yes it is. If he is trying to plug a 98 PCM into a 2001 harness then it will not work.....he would have to re-arrange most of the 160 pins on the PCM connectors.
