how to make my wire harness stand alone ?????please help
i am an old school guy try'n to do this new school hook-up for an 2003 silverado 1500 hd wire harness . what do i delete or cut , what do i connect to for power how do i use drive wire ( can i use a th350 or a 200r and still use drive by wire )
. I am very sorry i forgot the important stuff, this is a 6.0 motor and its going into a 76 stingray. i don't mean to sound dumb as a box of rocks but this new school stuff is kinda scary 4 me

You will need to get all the wiring diagrams for the donor vehicle to see what power, and ground wires you will need to hook up for each circuit, usually pink and black wires. You can just delete the stuff you don't use, gauges, A/C, ABS, airbag. All your engine sensor wires should just plug back up to where they came from.

thank's guys,
the harness a silverado 6.0 drive by wire i have checked the ls1 wire thread but its kinda mercky about a truck harness . is their anything or major diffrences between the 2 and is drive by wire directly in the main harness ? and if so how in the heck does that hook-up?

You should contact Current Performance wiring. They did the harness and DBW for an LS2 that went in an 85 Vette for Corvette Enthusiast Magazine this year.
Very detailed article, shows all the parts required, close-up pictures, gauges/sending units, speedometer, tach.
