Default Clutch slipping

Well, having some clutch slipping issues in my conversion.

1991 Corvette
LS1
T56 from a F-body
McLeod bell housing with the block plate
LS6 clutch assembly (was brand new when it went in with the motor)
New gm slave
Bleed thoroughly and properly
Wilwood slave 3/4

I can be cruising along in any gear at steady state, slight increase in throttle it's alright. Give it 25% or more throttle and it tries to grab but slips and spins up.

Initially after doing the conversion and having some slipping, I checked bell housing depth, found out the McLeod was 1/8 longer than the factory housing, so figured the slave was pushed back to far as well, as it seemed like it was getting over extended and hanging up. Well I installed a 1/8 shim to help compensate for the bell housing difference, and no improvement in clutch performance.

Took a few minutes to do some measurements. I am getting between 1.25 to 1.5 inches of plunger actuation, when I should only be getting a shade under an inch. I'll be fabbing up a pedal stop to see if this controls the slave issues.

So it looks like the excessive fluid is causing the slave to jump off it's guides and get hung up and not retract all the way. Crossing my fingers anyways.

How about a bit smaller clutch master? You might even get a softer clutch pedal, better feel.

I'm probably going to just do a pedal stop. It's a race car.

Don't need anything more. It doesn't have a bazillion hp. Doesn't need it as it weighs close to 2,500. Motor is only doing about 400 to the rear wheels.
