What Ls engine in a V6 Fbody?

What Ls engine in a V6 Fbody? This winter I would like to start doing my engine swap or atleast start buying the stuff for it. I have a V6 firebird that I totally redid, Removed rust. New interior. ETC so its not an option to sell it now. But thats not the question.
What motor would you guys swap in it? I want the most HP for the money. I dont want anything thats gonna cost a TON. I was originally thinking an LS2 but would it be better to just get an ls1 and mod it? What about the Truck motors. I know they are alot cheaper but wouldnt it cost the same amount of money to swap them over?
