One wire alternator question

I put a 2001 Trans Am LS1 in to my RX7. I had my harness modified by Speartech. Is my alternator going to charge? I heard that I have to take a wire and install a light bulb in line with it for the alternator to sense the resistance and charge the battery.

Anyone help me out?

i am not sure if it is going to charge or not, i do know that on my setup i am using an old school gm 1 wire, powermaster number 17294 100 amp, or 37293/37294 for 140 amp, and march bracket 20195

Speartech would have taken care of you. But, that light bulb requirement was only for 98 engines. My 2000 doesn't need it and nor does your 2001.

Really that is Sweet so my alternator should be charging?? I will check it out.

Yeah, the PCM controls that wire on 99-up systems. No need to add a bulb or resistor. Just hook up the large gauge wire to the output stud and away you go!
