Thinking inside the box... Anyone ever mounted the engine computer inside the empty a/c doghouse box?
I was going to try to fab a cover and mount onto it, but I realized it should fit easily inside with room to spare. I'm thinking it should work well until I can afford the expensive fiberglass cover by American Graffiti (which is also on backorder for 3-4 weeks)

I have an extra box if I decide I want to go back. I just did a test fit, after some trimming for the harness to exit this will work great. Keeps the computer out of sight and out of the elements and keeps my from having to find a way to make a delete plate that looks nice and would let me keep the heater for now. Eventually I'd rather have a cleaner firewall but this is a step in the right direction for now.
