walbro inline 225lph with 99 corvette reg/filter for budget performance stock motor.

Aeromotive for stock motor would be a waste of money. But it is good stuff.

How would the walbro pump above work for up to 500 horsepower, like stock bottom end with H&C,headers? The "lph" loses me.

It would be fine. It is actually the same pump that Holley sells with their name on it (part # 12-920). LPH is liters per hour. There are 3.7 liters/gallon. So, 255/3.7 is 68 gph(gallons per hour)at 60 PSI. My post above listed it as 225 lph. That was a typo.

I am putting an Ls1 into a 65 impala convertible. What fuel pump should I use?? I know I need the aeromotive fuel regulator 13109 because that has a return line in it. What pump should I use with this? The aeromotive pumps say 45 psi, but i know the factory ls1 pump is like around 60. Thanks so much!

I'd recommend you use the same setup as the previous post.

The Corvette fiter/regulator has a tank return line and you don't need a seperate regulator.

Default 65 impala

Can I use that walbro gsl392 pump with a aerromotive fuel regulator with the return line? And If I decide to use the corvette reg/filter where do I get one? Thanks

Sure and any Chevy dealer can get you the regulator. I got mine for about $50 or 60.

I am using the walbro 255 with an adjustable aeromotive bypass (return line) regulator with fuel pressure gauge rather than the stock corvette regulator.

Will the walbro 255 handle a 150 wet shot? Is it better to just leave the stock fuel rails and add a regulator w/ return line so the fuel pressure will be adjustable?

I have to do this soon, so I'm trying to figure out a good but inexpensive setup. To all w/ chevelles are you sumping your stock tank, tanksinc setup, or other? Does the tank need to be baffeled?

Thanks
Mike

Yes, on the tank needing to be baffeled.!

I am using a 95' Impala Gas tank that is already baffeled in my 71' Chevelle. I am also using a Racetronix / Walbor 255 pump and wiring setup.

bczee - I've read up on your posts on the impala tank I might do this if I can find a tank. I guess I'll check the local salvage yards. Any were to get a new tank like this for cheap, what do they normally cost? Would it be a PITA to baffel my current tank? Trying to keep cost down.

In another post that I had input on, 130FE stated he had one for sale.. https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-swaps/485183-chevelle-fuel-tank.html

I paid $50 for my tank. I would said any where from $50 to $125 from the junk yards for a tank. If your trying to do the cheap route, and your not looking for a lot of power upgrades from the LSx.. That pump will work with a Stock LS1 ok.

You can try GMPARTSDIRECT.COM for new parts.. they are cheap for parts.. but costly for there handling and shipping.

You might try one of the Impala / B-Boday forum for sale parts.

Good luck.

Hey.. Was doing the LS1/T-56 swap into my chevelle. Didnt need that much fuel but I am ready for any upgrades i ever wanna do in the future. I am currently re-building the LS1 with Forged bottom, prc ls6 heads, weiand polished intake, 78mm throttle body, MS3 cam, ect.. would like to throw some boost to it in the future so it will be nice to never have to worry about upgrading the fuel system
