Gas Tank Opinions? I am at the point in my build where I need to decide on a tank for my 67 Chevelle. I was really considering using a Ricks Hotrod tank because it is stainless and looks nice. However I see that Rock Auto sells a tank for about half price, the only thing is the Rock Auto tank is a factory tank from Spectre out of Canada. Has anybody bought either tank if so what is your opinion on them.

This should help ya. I have the tank, it looks like a well built unit and I have no problems with it outside the car, I have not put it in yet.

I'm going to use the Spectre tank from Rock Auto. I've heard alot of good things about it and you can't beat the price from Rock Auto! I was going to use a 3rd gen. Camaro sending unit in a new stock tank but after the cost of a new tank, pump and fabrication and installation of a baffle it just seems more practical to go with the Spectre. And it's a bolt in deal too!
The stainless tanks are really nice but I would have a hard time spending that much.
