NC Engine Swaps
Has anyone done a similar swap in NC and kept the car legal so that it can be inspected without bribery?
If so, what did you need to keep operational?
O2 Sensors (both Front and Rear) in Correct OEM location
CAT's, in correct location as OEM would be.
EGR w/all hoses and pipes
AIR
HVAP connected to fuel tank and operated by the PCM
Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor (and maybe fuel level) feeding the PCM
Check Engine Light
PCM with correct VIN for the 2000 LS1
Basically your Nissan will be checked and smogged as a 2000 LS1 (F-Body or Vette).
BTW starting in Oct 2008, there is no more windshield stickers, the inspections are linked to your license plate tabs, and yearly renewal is within a certain amount of time from your plate renewal.
