My vote is for the RX7 FD. I'm getting the rest of the parts in and I will be starting mine this winter.

His price is about the same as www.grannysspeedshop.com They're the only two that sell a kit for the FD.

I'm on my second LS1 FD. Its a great package once its all together. The nice thing about the FD is that you can fit a large tire under it compared to other small sports cars. 255f/275r are not a problem. 285f/315r takes some rolling and suspension bits. Its shocking to think that the OE tire was a 225/50/16

I'd like to do an LS1 swap into a sports sedan so I could use it as a daily driver. A 3 series BMW would be nice, but the price of the custom headers ($2500) for the kit make it very unattractive. Are there any other options for modern sports sedans that we haven't seen? Or am I better off waiting for the prices of CTS-V's to drop?

Just make your own headers. Don't spend 2500 on something you can make yourself. Heck you would have to completely ruin about 10 sets to have 2500 into it. LS1 flanges are under $40 at a dealer, and mandrel bent tubes are pretty cheap anywhere you find them.

This. I have always loved the 67-72 body style!

Here is my 81 that may be getting a 6.0L transplant soon

IMO , I suggest FoxBody since we don't haveRx7 , Nissan 240sx is Saudi Arabia ( RARE )

conversion is easy for FoxBody .. You need only motor mounts for mustang 96 4.6L with a some mods and a K-Member then LS1 will fit Fox-Body.. Regarding the Headers you can find it at summitracing for FORD 305 but you need to adjust the left side headers (only one tube) because of wheel steering shaft !

I have pictures regarding conversion , but I'm at work now .. feed me back when you need them

Put in mind that foxbody has a low cost suspension products ..

Good luck
